Spring in Northern Michigan begins with meaningful gatherings, and this year I’m excited to host the Hestia Women’s Giving Circle Winter Social right here in Petoskey, Michigan.
This special evening will take place inside one of our community’s wonderful woman-owned businesses, B. May Bags, which has graciously opened its doors to welcome the group and showcase its beautiful collection of handbags, accessories, and thoughtfully curated gifts. Supporting local entrepreneurs is an important part of strengthening our Northern Michigan community, and it feels especially fitting to gather in a space built by a woman business owner.

Celebrating Women and Community
Because this event takes place in March, the gathering also recognizes Women’s History Month, celebrates International Women’s Day, and brings awareness to Women’s Equal Pay Day. Beyond these important themes, the evening is designed to create space for thoughtful conversation and connection among women who care about making a meaningful impact in Northern Michigan.
What is Hestia Women’s Giving Circle?
The Hestia Women’s Giving Circle is a collective of women who come together to support local nonprofit organizations through collaborative philanthropy. By pooling resources and directing funds where they are needed most, members help strengthen the communities of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, and surrounding Northern Michigan areas.
Events like the Winter Social offer a relaxed opportunity to meet others who share a passion for community impact, learn more about Hestia’s mission, and discover ways to get involved.
Who Should Attend?
This gathering is open to both Hestia members and guests, and attendees are encouraged to bring a friend or invite someone who might enjoy connecting with community-minded women in the Petoskey area. Whether you’re already involved in local philanthropy or simply curious about the work Hestia is doing across Northern Michigan, this evening is a welcoming place to start.
